Sex Change… for kids?
I came accross this article today from FOXNews.com about a Doctor in Boston preforming sex changes for children… Yes, you heard right, I said a Doctor in Boston, Dr. Norman Spack has launched a clinic at Boston’s Children’s Hospital for what they call “transgendered children.” This meaning boys who feel like girls and girls that want to be boys. Ok…. still there? Some of Dr. Spack’s patients are as young as 7 years old.
I was absolutely disgusted by this news. Even some of the most liberal of thinkers would not even dare to commend this. Culture influences actions in a nation. Unfortunately, voices in our predominant culture look to destroy themselves by destroying the next generation. When sin has run its course in the lives of men they become filled with dissolution, not knowing what is right or wrong.
This is child abuse. Treating children with no respect for there future in the name of medicine. I’m shocked. But even in light of this, I want to remind you that Jesus is still at the height of His greatness. Men and women who are like Him(Jesus), will have profound impact on our world.
Jesus told his disciples in John 15:19, “If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”
Jesus Christ calls men and women to be like salt, giving a flavor to the world that is pleasing to God. When we lose our taste(our peculiar nature), we become useless (Luke 14:34,35). Live a life of peculiarity and shine for Jesus Christ.
